Oil Change
Oil Change in North York
Regular oil changes are one of the easiest ways to protect your engine. At Vamp Automotive in North York, we replace your oil and filter with the right oil for your vehicle and do a basic check while your car is on the lift — so you know about small problems before they become expensive ones.

What's Included in Every Oil Change
- Drain old oil and replace the oil filter
- Refill with the correct grade for your vehicle (conventional, synthetic blend or full synthetic)
- Check fluid levels
- Quick look at brakes, tires, belts and hoses while the car is up
- Reset your oil-life reminder where applicable
Signs You're Due for an Oil Change
- Oil change light or maintenance reminder is on
- It's been more than your manufacturer's recommended distance or time
- Engine sounds louder or ticks on start-up
- Oil on the dipstick looks dark and gritty or is below the minimum line
- You smell oil or burning inside the car
Not sure what interval your car needs? Check your owner's manual, or ask us — we'll tell you straight and put a reminder sticker on your windshield.
Conventional vs. Synthetic Oil
Many newer vehicles require synthetic oil, which holds up better in extreme heat and cold and usually lasts longer between changes. Older vehicles may run fine on conventional oil. We'll use what your manufacturer recommends — never an upsell you don't need.

Oil Change FAQs
Follow your owner's manual — many modern cars with synthetic oil go roughly 8,000–12,000 km, while older cars or heavy stop-and-go driving may need it sooner.
